While designers are encouraged to remain true to their brand ethos, long gone are the days when fashion felt forced upon us. This decade has been about revisiting authenticity, self expression and individuality without coming across as demeaning by nature. There is not a single bible in fashion. There are simply no clear dos and don’ts anymore. Boundaries and lines have been blurred numerous times on numerous occasions. An intersection of disciplines show unprecedented potential for design innovation in the art sector, especially within fashion.

Womenswear in luxury fashion is arguably working towards a more inclusive space, opening up dialogues about diversity and body positivity; a one-size-fits-all approach to clothes is a mere myth, lacking longevity, functionality, and practicality of garments designed for the sole purpose of being worn.

Women’s bodies are more complex than patriarchy had fathomed. Therefore, women should be celebrated and cherished, especially in the fashion space. They are no longer muses, but heroes of their own story. This shift in perception has brought a further change in narratives surrounding their place and position in society today: women are both empowering, undeniably unstoppable, writing their own narratives everyday.
